CPO Honors 2017 – CPO Rising 2024 Summit

Ardent Partners revealed the winners of its industry achievement awards in global procurement, including two new inductees into its Hall of Fame, at its third annual CPO Rising 2017 Summit on November 8, in Boston, MA. The The Chief Procurement Officer (or “CPO”) Honors were established to celebrate the procurement function and recognize the accomplishments of the profession’s best leaders and teams. These awards have quickly become the procurement industry’s most prestigious series of awards. The CPO Honors winners were selected based upon external nominations. So if there is a CPO or other procurement leader who you think is deserving, make sure to submit your nomination below for CPO Rising 2020!

The CPO Rising Hall of Fame Class of 2017

Established in 2016, The CPO Rising Hall of Fame inducts up to three procurement leaders each year who have differentiated themselves and their organizations by a blend in leadership in innovation, executive stewardship, process excellence, and dedication to their craft. This year’s inductees were:

“Tom Linton and Shelley Stewart were inducted into the Hall of Fame because each has made a significant contribution to the procurement profession over the course of their respective careers,” says Andrew Bartolini, chief research officer and managing partner at Ardent Partners. “Tom and Shelley are not only procurement visionaries, they are also considered among the most forward-thinking executives working in business today.”

CPO Honors 2017

Four distinct CPOs and/or procurement teams received CPO Honors awards for their outstanding work and achievement in procurement in 2017. The awards and winners are:

The Leadership Award (CPO of the Year) was presented to the CPO who has driven new performance heights as a result of their direct involvement and leadership and overall exceptional executive management.

The Technology Excellence Award is presented to the CPO and team that have leveraged technology solutions to impact procurement operations and performance.
